Postponement of RYA Shorebased Classes 2020 |

Following HM Governments recent announcements we have taken the unenviable decision to postpone the start of our RYA Classroom based courses until Jan 2021.
We realise this will come as an immense disappointment and it's not decision we have taken lightly but our priorities must be for the safety and wellbeing of the students and staff in these challenging circumstances. The effect of another potential local lockdown, the self-isolation requirements within St. Thomas More Catholic Academy if you or one of their students shows symptoms is paramount.

The next round of Marine Radio Licence Assessments will take place on Thursday 22nd Oct at 1.00pm, 3.00pm and 5.00pm at North Staffs Sailing Club, Stanley Reservoir, Puddy Lane, Stanley, Stoke-on-Trent, ST9 9LS. It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our Sailing School Principle Phil Webb. For those that knew him and had the pleasure of sailing with him he was a true character and words here cannot express the loss we feel at his death.
His passion for sailing started on the shores of Rudyard Lake with his mentor Jim Ridgeway and the Sea Scouts. They then went on to start the Sailing School some 50 years ago at a number of locations around the City before it finally settled here at St. Thomas More.
